INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH :-
- Sher Durum Atta 1 cup
- Sher Besan 1 cup
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 cumin seeds (crushed & roasted)
- 1 tbsp crushed red chili
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- Salt ( to taste)
- 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
- 3-4 finely chopped green chili
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander
- 2 medium finely chopped onions
- 2 tbsp oil
- Water (as required)
- 2 tbsp Desi ghee
METHOD TO PREPARE ;-
In a bowl, add 1 cup of Sher Durum Atta and 1 cup of Sher Besan.
Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 1/2 cumin seeds (crushed & roasted),1 tbsp crushed red chili, 1 tsp chaat masala, salt,3-4 finely chopped green chili, 1/4 cup chopped coriander, 2 medium finely chopped onions and mix all in the dry flour. Now, add 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds and mix well.
Add 2 tbsp oil and mix flour till it starts to crumble slightly. Now slowly start adding water.
After this make 5 small dough balls.
Dust 1 small dough ball in dry flour and start making the roti. Firstly, flatten the dough ball gently with both hands and then roll out with the help of a rolling pin. To further flatten the roti, press it between the palms of your both hands until you get roti of desired size.
Heat the griddle, place the roti on it and keep rotating the roti with your hand.
Let it completely cook from one side then flip with the help of roti spatula. Brush Missi roti with Desi Ghee and enjoy.
SERVING SUGGESTION :-
Serve Missi Roti with yoghurt and spiced pickles (achaar).
